Amboseli Adventure Safari

Overview

Spend three memorable days amid Amboseli National Park’s legendary wildlife and landscapes. Amboseli is famed for its huge herds of free-ranging elephants against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Here you’ll also find lions, cheetahs, and large herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest in swampland and savannah. The park’s flat plains and marshes make game-viewing excellent and photogenic. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, with optional Maasai cultural visits. With two nights in Amboseli, you maximize your chances for dramatic wildlife sightings beneath Africa’s tallest mountain.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

Nairobi to Amboseli

Drive south from Nairobi to Amboseli NP (approx. 5–6 hours). Stop en route at viewpoints. Afternoon arrival in Amboseli, check into camp. Enjoy an afternoon game drive: search for elephants at the park swamps and pride of lions in the plains, with Kili’s summit in view. Dinner and overnight near the park.

Day 2 :

Full day Amboseli game drives

Early morning drive to catch predators on the prowl or elephants feeding in the cool light. Midday rest at camp (optional short nature walk or Maasai village visit at extra cost). Afternoon game drive: see flamingos on the seasonal lakes or birds in the marshes. Return to lodge for dinner.

Day 3 :

Morning game drive and departure

Morning game drive for final wildlife viewing (photo stops at observation hill). After lunch, depart Amboseli and drive back to Nairobi (or on to next safari destination).
